One of the families I deliver to has a husband who became withdrawn and self-concious after suffering a stroke, refusing to step out of the house for a long time. But now, he has started bringing his child along to collect food and essential supplies. I see this as a big step forward, and I hope to see him slowly return to society.
Being able to support them when they need it most and help them get back on their feet makes me really happy. Because I can witness how the lives of th4e families we help are slowly improving.

Whenever I visit these underprivileged families, I can’t help but wonder why they have to endure so much suffering.
Sometimes, we offer them possible solutions. For example, there was a beneficiary with serious health issues who refused to seek medical treatment. We patiently advised him, helping him realise the value of life. In the end, he listened and went to see a doctor.
What left the deepest impression on me was knowing that every word we say and every encouragement we give can truly impact their lives, helping them cherish and respect their own well-being.

448 gave us a chance to connect with underprivileged families, listen to their stories and bring them a little warmth.
There are actually many friends around us who need assistance. The world is big, and what we can do is never enough. Though our power may be small, we are steadfast in helping those in need. A group of volunteers accumulates kindness and gentleness, doing good deeds and providing a bit of warmth to disadvantaged friends.
Each participation fills my heart with gratitude. I’m grateful for the shelter my parents once provided, for my husband’s quite dedication to our family, and for the warmth and stability I’m blessed with in everyday life.
Watching my son step up and handle his responsibilities filled me with pride and made me realize that volunteer work is not only about giving to others but also a valuable lesson in personal growth for children.
Volunteering is truly a Two-Way Gift. While we offer kindness to others, we gain immense spiritual enrichment in return. Through this sharing, I hope to inspire more friends to join volunteer efforts, to take action to help those in need, and to find life’s deeper meaning in the act of giving. Together, let’s be small rays of light in the world.

I knew 448 through charity activities. I’ve joined 448 Food Bank Klang area since 2016. I wanted to contribute back to the society thus participated in 448 activities. This 448 activity it gives more opportunities to help disadvantaged and marginalised families. When I saw a family in deep water, I knew 448 could provide them with some assistance. When the beneficiary families received the necessities delivered by 448 volunteers, they were touched and delighted. This motivates me to do my part in 448.
After being in 448 for nearly 8 years, I came to a realization. Life is short, do not waste it away. 448 provides a good platform for volunteers to give back to society. It is very meaningful for families to participate together. Children can see that there are still many needy people out there. They will cultivate a positive mindset of cherishing blessings and happiness from a young age.
